poetry on motherhood, birth trauma, and healing
About

My Story
From as long as I can remember, I have been a writer.
In elementary school, I would keep a journal hidden in my desk with poems and short stories I would write throughout the day. I would turn in 20-page short stories to my middle school English teachers much to their annoyance (now as a teacher myself... I get it).
My world was forever changed when I gave birth to my first daughter 5 days before Christmas in 2021. I sustained an extremely traumatic delivery and recovery. To cope and heal, I did the one thing I always did when life felt messy and hard-- I wrote poetry. I publish my work so that women can know that they are not alone in their experiences with motherhood. If I was able to heal and come back from what happened to me, so could they.
